Now that the vertical gardens have matured at Optima’s Biltmore Towers, Camelview Village and Sonoran Village, it’s time for the luxury developer
to break ground in the desirable Kierland area.
Currently under construction, Optima Kierland is slated for occupancy in 18 to
24 months. “The initial buyer response has been fantastic.” says David Hovey Jr .,president of Optima. “The unmatched location in the heart of North Scottsdale’s urban core [has] attracted a diverse and discerning clientele.” Although the building’s exterior will be articulated in a similar vernacular to other Optima projects (think lush vertical gardens, floor-to-ceiling glass, and room-size patios for every residence), the most attractive feature of this $500 million project is the ability for buyers to customize floor plans during this early construction phase, combining units as they desire.
To date, the largest combo unit was created by the merging of four homes into one 4,111-square-foot residence on an upper floor. Although this new high-rise neighbors world-class shopping and dining at Scottsdale Quarter and Kierland Commons, it will be difficult for owners to justify ever leaving home, considering there is a rooftop lap pool and spa with negative-edge railing, indoor basketball and squash courts, a golf simulator steam rooms and saunas.
